The PS3 version isn't inherently any more glitchy as far as I'm aware, but you'll suffer much worse load times and spotty multiplayer connections. If you have a PS4, you should definitely go for that version instead, but if the PS3 is your only option then I'd still suggest getting it if you're a fan of the series.

Went into settings -> application data management -> delete -> Little Big Planet 3 -> [My username] little big planet (should say user profile underneath). Deleted that and it seemed to have resolved the issue. There was a file similar but it said [my username] little big planet user profile in the actual name.
