Montana winters are long and cold and my new to me bike (2022 R1250RT with 4,000 miles on it) was acquired last fall and i was only able to put 400 or so miles on it before hard winter hit. That may indeed be the cause of the broken swingarm and driveshaft in this picture. The gearbox input shaft is between the engine and transmission and not visible.
